Market Overview
New LEED standards require much higher recycling rates on a project
than previously required. These standards require a much different
process when handling the waste stream than that used to simply
meet the Massachusetts DEP requirement of waste diversion from the
landfill*.

Competitive Analysis Overview
Transfer Stations
These facilities are set up to take in mixed debris from roll-offs,
conduct light separation of metals, and transfer waste onto larger
vehicles or rail to move out of the state to landfills.
Material Recovery Facilities
These facilities are also set up to take in mixed debris,
but they have additional equipment to separate and sort material
to achieve the much higher recycling rate that is required under
LEED guidelines.
Services Overview
SRT assists clients by tracking all waste streams from job-site
to end-user, and provides them with all proper documentation and
record keeping in order to have proof of recycling. SRT has an in-house,
LEED Accredited Professional, to discuss projects requirement in
a confidential manner.
Mission Statement
”Our goal is to help our client get their construction projects
to the highest LEED Required Recycling Rate in the most economic
way possible. The higher our recycling rate is, the less source
separation the contractor has to do, keeping the project on or under
budget.”
